Terms & Conditions

1. About this service
Emergency Print ("we", "us") is an overnight document printing and courier delivery service operating in Cape Town, South Africa, between 19:00 and 07:00. By placing an order on emergencyprint.co.za (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Site.
2. Placing an order
Orders are placed as a guest - no account is required. You upload one or more PDF files, choose print options (colour, sides, binding) per file, provide your name, email, phone number, and delivery address, and pay online before we begin printing. You're responsible for making sure the files you upload are accurate, complete, and print-ready - we print what you send us.
We only accept PDF files, up to 50MB per file and 200 pages per order (counting every copy). The page count of each file is detected automatically and shown to you before payment; you choose how many copies of each document to print, and you're charged for the detected page count across all copies.
Checkout is only available during our operating hours (19:00–07:00, Africa/Johannesburg). Outside those hours, ordering is disabled.
3. Pricing & payment
Printing is charged at R10.00 per page black-and-white and R20.00 per page colour. Spiral/comb binding is a flat R90.00 per document (documents need at least 5 pages to qualify). A delivery fee is added based on the distance between our dispatch point and your delivery address - see §4. All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
Payment is processed by a third-party payment service provider. We don't store your card details - payment happens on our provider's secure page, and we only receive confirmation that payment succeeded or failed.
Your order is only confirmed, and printing only begins, once payment has been successfully received and confirmed by our payment provider.
4. Delivery
Printed orders are delivered by a third-party courier to the address you provide at checkout - there is no walk-in counter and no customer self-collection. We don't deliver beyond 30km from Cape Town's city centre, and checkout will tell you if your address falls outside that range.
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees - they depend on print/bind turnaround and courier availability on the night. We'll keep you updated by email, and the operator may contact you directly by WhatsApp using the number you provide.
You're responsible for providing an accurate, reachable delivery address and for being available (or arranging for someone to be available) to receive the delivery. We're not responsible for failed delivery caused by an incorrect address or nobody being available to receive the order.
5. Cancellations & refunds
Because this is an on-demand overnight service, printing typically begins shortly after payment. Once printing has started, we generally can't cancel or refund an order. If you need to cancel before printing has started, contact us immediately at the details below and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
If we're unable to fulfil your order (for example, a printing error on our side, or we're unable to arrange delivery), we'll offer a reprint, redelivery, or a full refund of the affected amount, at our discretion.
6. Your content
You must have the right to print and distribute whatever you upload. Don't upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or that we have no legal basis to print. We may refuse to print, or stop printing, any order we reasonably believe breaches this.
7. Liability
We provide this service with reasonable care and skill, but to the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control (including courier delays, payment provider outages, or force majeure events).
8. Privacy
How we handle your personal information and uploaded files is set out in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published on this page at the time you place your order.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
