Emergency Print

Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 August 2026.

1. Overview

This policy explains what personal information Emergency Print ("we", "us") collects when you use emergencyprint.co.za (the "Site") to place an order, how we use and protect it, and your rights under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

2. What we collect

  • Your name, email address, and phone number, provided at checkout.
  • Your delivery address, used to calculate the delivery fee and to send a courier.
  • The documents you upload for printing - these may contain sensitive personal information of your own (e.g. ID copies, medical letters, court papers, boarding passes).
  • Payment confirmation details from our payment provider (we never see or store your card number).
  • Contact-form messages you choose to send us.

We don't use analytics or advertising cookies, and we don't require an account or login to place an order.

3. Why we collect it

We use this information only to: print and deliver your order, calculate pricing and the delivery fee, process payment, contact you about your order (by email, and sometimes WhatsApp from the operator's own phone), and respond to messages you send us. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing you haven't asked for.

4. Who we share it with

We share only what's needed to fulfil your order: your payment details go to our payment service provider to process payment, and your name, phone number, and delivery address go to our courier partner to deliver your order. We don't share your uploaded documents with anyone outside our own printing process.

5. How we store & protect it

Uploaded files are stored in a private cloud storage bucket that is never publicly accessible - only our server and the person fulfilling your order can access them, via short-lived, individually generated links. Order and contact records are stored in a database that denies all direct access; every read and write goes through our own server, never directly from a browser.

6. How long we keep it

Uploaded files and the printed document itself are deleted 7 days after your order is delivered. Order records (without the files) are kept for our own accounting and support purposes for as long as reasonably necessary, after which they're deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA, you can ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to any legal or accounting reason we may need to keep some order records). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the version in force is the one published on this page at the time you place your order.
